toy poodle CANDY'S ROOM

The cutest white toy-poodle came to my house in Fukuoka from Shikoku island over a great distance.
She had really round shape eyes which were like candies.
So we named her "CANDY" and loved her brown eyes very much.

She had the warm fur.
She was so mischievous as to like to bite our hand softly.


Traveling with our family. Take a good picture, dad. (Wow! Everyone comes out young.)		It's terrible, dad! Pick me up! At Karuizawa (the most famous summer resort in Japan)		The sea is beautiful but it seems to be cold, mom. At Sanin (the western area of Japan)

Candy loved my mother best.
When my mother got into bed, Candy followed her and went to sleep on the mother's arm looking very happy.
Candy liked taking a walk.
When we said "Let's go outside", she jumped and skipped around us happily.
But, when my mother didn't attend her, her eyes seemed to say "I can't go without mam".

Candy was just like a spoiled child and often depended on us.
She could use her toilet by herself (when she was alone in the house, she could properly do that) but if someone was in the house, she looked back over and over seeming to say "I am visiting my bathroom now. Watch me." and expecting someone's help.
When she would like to get into bed, she begged to ask someone to
rise the bedding.

But Candy passed away peacefully.

We hope Candy, the best menber of our family, is now living on the heaven with many friends.
Candy left us warm and tender memories.
We overcame the sorrow of her death and now enjoy the daily life.

My father has made the handicraft as his hobby since his retirement.
He named the activity "Atelier TONTON" and his sundry goods made of twigs are popular with many people.

My mother and I have also done such activity and made Teddy bears at first.
Then we converted the paper patterns with our many and uniquie ideas and have created the stuffed dog of "Candy" because of our happy memory for her.
Stuffed toys of poodle are seldom sold, if those are at the shop, most of them aren't freiendly.

Our stuffed toy poodles are living with my friends known through the handicraft market and Internet.
I am now enthusiastic about making stuffed poodle. Making their faces is most interesting and difficult. The size and position of the eyes affect their feature. It's a little hard to making a especially lovely one.
I sew them feeling that "Wow! It's a pretty!" at each moment.
